ACE chip software developed by Austria Card meets the following specifications: The "M/Chip Lite" product standard published by Europay/Mastercard International and the "Visa Smart Credit Debit (VSCD)" product standard defined by VISA. This gives all credit card issuers an EMV product in the low-price segment of the EMV market.
Our flexibility and adaptability are also real benefits for our customers' customers. With its file and data management features, the ACE operating system is already able to handle the requirements of many innovative customer loyalty programs.
Everything on a single line
Timely market launches pay off for Austria Card and for our customers: All chip products are developed on a "single line" and are not burdened by outmoded technology - an ideal prerequisite for a short time to market and great versatility. Plus, individual software modules can be combined more efficiently.
Such perfect timing has made Austria Card a pioneer. Our "Bankomat card + Chip" (ATM card with chip), which was introduced by the Austrian banks in 1995, made it possible for the first time to perform transactions off-line. It was a smashing success: a real breakthrough for the use of payment cards in commercial transactions.
The software for the latest chip generation is currently being designed and programmed at the Austria Card's development centre. It will be even more intelligent, secure and reliable, and will first be used on the Austrian market.
