Owing to its strategic focus on growth, the company has succeeded in exporting Austrian technology to a vast array of regions and has become a key player in the industry. The company’s achievement is now being rewarded by the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW) and the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKÖ) with the Austrian Export Award in the category “Information and Consulting”.
“We are truly honored to receive this award”, says Konstantinos Lagios, Chief Commercial Officer at AUSTRIACARD, at the evening gala in Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier. “In recent years AUSTRIACARD grew to a truly international company as a part of the Lykos AG. We used to be a firm focused primarily on Austria. Now we are a global player and a leader in the CEE markets. The company has production facilities in several European countries and is run by an international management team.” The Austrian Export Award honors annually national companies that operate successfully in foreign markets and, through their efforts, promote Austria’s growth internationally. The award was presented by the Federal Minister of Economy, Reinhold Mitterlehner and the President of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, Christoph Leitl.
