AUSTRIACARD is one of the largest dual interface card producers worldwide. Nowadays, dual interface cards account for more than 80% of all contactless transactions. The technology allows customers and retailers to profit from reduced waiting times and queues with the distinct characteristics of safer and quicker payments.

ACE 2000 Dual Interface
ACE 2000 Dual Interface stands for AUSTRIACARD’s EMV-compliant smart card product range. Based on the company’s own operating system, ACE 2000 Dual Interface supports contact and contactless payment transactions and comprises a set of mandatory and optional EMV functions in accordance with both Mastercard and Visa specifications. AUSTRIACARD’s products offer fast transaction times while ensuring the highest security levels.
The security of offline transactions – both contactless and contact-based – is enriched by Combined DDA and Generate Application Cryptogram (CDA) processing.
Moreover, AUSTRIACARD is using an inductive coupling technology which eliminates the physical connection of the microcontroller with the antenna increasing the robustness of the contactless interface and thus extends the life span of the card.
AUSTRIACARD’s solution for biometric cards contains a fingerprint sensor, an ISO7816-compliant contact plate, an antenna for contactless payment and a central Secure Processing Module, which combines and enables all chip functions.
Reading and storage of the cardholder’s fingerprint vectors and its subsequent verification at the beginning of the EMV transaction (in accordance with Mastercard’s “Advance Biometry on Card” specification) are all carried out in the chip. The great advantage of the solution is the enhancement of the transaction security since the verification of the fingerprint is carried out by the secure chip.
No battery is required, the total transaction time for the card to perform contactless payments amounts to less than 1 second only.
