Inventory of documents and archival units
According to the definitions, the inventory of documents is the operation that consists in recording the documents and archival units according to the department that created or received them, the year in which they created or received them and the internally established retention period.
The archival legislation stipulates the obligation of document creators to record chronologically all documents entered, exited or prepared for internal use in an entry-exit register without repeating the registration numbers given to the documents. Their registration marks their official existence and represents the birth certificate of each document and the correctness of the registration depends, to a large extent, in ensure their preservation. This service can be done in-house or outsourced.
